The Good Samaritan
Luke Chapter 10
A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell in with robbers.
They both robbed him and beat him, leaving him barely alive, and then they left.
It so happened, a certain priest was going on that road; and seeing him he passed on
the opposite side. In the same way, a Levite, also being at the place, coming and
seeing him, he passed on the opposite side. A certain traveling Samaritan came upon
him and seeing him, he had compassion on him. Coming near the Samaritan, he bound up
his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them. Then he put him on his donkey and brought him
to an inn and cared for him.
On the Dawn of the day the Samaritan departed and taking out 2 Denari he gave them to
the innkeeper. He told the innkeeper to care for him and whatever more he would spend
on the Samaritan on his return he would repay to him.
